Our Purpose
Our Vision
Our Mission
We are a behaviour change solutions provider.
Centre for Behaviour Change and Communication (CBCC) is an organisation that was established in 2011. We are committed to achieving transformation of communities by providing comprehensive Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) solutions for the public and private sectors. We do this through innovative and evidence-based interventions that address change at multiple levels and contribute towards SBC policy development and practice in Kenya and beyond.
We provide locally driven solutions grounded in research, evidenced based approaches and strengthened partnerships.
Sectors We Serve
10+ Years of Experience
We are an all-round agency that uses proven SBC approaches
We employ Human Centred Design and Socio-ecological models in our work
We adapt our solutions in accordance with the uniqueness of a project in order to fulfill the intended goal
We have worked with nomadic pastoralists. Crafting strategies that respond to their unique circumstances, cultural and religious belief systems.
We have challenged our SBC experiences in working with hard-to-reach communities. We have looked for innovative solutions that work that in such environments with low electricity coverage, low radio and TV coverage.
We have worked with communities with as low as 23% literacy levels. We worked on creative messaging methods that allow them to interact with complex information using simplified methods.
There are many communities that hold fast to traditions which they highly value. Some SBC interventions may sometimes go against deeply rooted traditions. We have been able to identify critical entry point and levers in such communities that have helped us work and with traditional community setting to deliver results
Rural youth are in some cases disadvantaged in literacy, exposure to modern communication technology, finance and access to other life enhancing opportunities. We have been challenged as SBC solution providers to reach out to youth in the rural setting and have been able to deliver in such contexts successfully.
Urban youth have unique challenges especially in the informal setting. We have been able to contextualise SBC interventions to directly respond to the prevailing social settings.
DigiRedio is a Behaviour Change Platform, which facilitates dialogue between multi-sector players and the public.
