SEED Revolving Fund Initiative, Youth Engagement and Gender Inclusion (SRFI-YEGI)

SEED Revolving Fund Initiative, Youth Engagement and Gender Inclusion (SRFI-YEGI) is a 1-year (2020-2021) activity in Tanzania whose aim is to stimulate investments into a dynamic Gender and Youth responsive groundnut and sorghum seed and grain value chains in the following areas: 1. The Southern Highlands corridor (Mbeya area that supplies Zambia and parts of DR Congo), 2. The Southern corridor (Mtwara area that supplies Dar es salaam mainly Malawi and Mozambique), 3. The Central corridor (Dodoma and the surrounding regions), whose produce goes to Dar or Northwards to Arusha and onwards to Kenya, 4. The Western corridor (Tabora, Shinyanga and the surrounding areas) whose produce is sold to Rwanda, Burundi and parts of DR Congo. The focus for CBCC is to enhance acceleration of quality seed distribution delivery and choice in groundnut and sorghum value chains through Social and Behaviour Change (SBC).
